Animators in the field of advertising generally receive a salary of between £27,000 and £35,000 per year. However, the salary advertising animators receive largely relates to the years of experience, the skill level, and the advertisement agency an employee works for. Over time, animators usually obtain higher salaries, reaching an average of between £65,000 and £75,000 per annum.

Description

Animation industry is responsible for giving life or animating images on a screen. People working on this area are animators and their projects can be seen on pop videos, websites, computer games, and films. These professionals use different techniques to simulate moving images such as stop motion, 2D computer animation, 3D computer generated animation, and 2D drawn animation.

Animators usually perform many of the following tasks:
• Creating storyboards.
• Liaising with clients.
• Developing new characters.
• Working to production deadlines.
• Drawing 2D or 3D backgrounds.

Most people working on Animation industry have a Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma, or degree related to this area. There are several colleges and universities offering relevant qualifications for this industry including degrees in animation, computer animation, art & design, etc. Entry requirements for these courses vary according to institutions, but they generally include A levels and five GCSE’s/S grades (A-C/1-3).

Among other relevant degrees for this area are 3D design, multimedia, film and video, electrical engineering, graphic design, spatial design, computer aided engineering, etc.
