A job in a charity? Sophie Last updated by Stuard: 03-Feb-2017
How can I get a job in a charity organization? I think I’d be good at it as I enjoy helping others.

To work for a charity you've got to do exactly the same as you would to work anywhere else. There are many types of jobs, and not all of them get a pay. Some jobs in the administrative or managing side of the charity tend to be professionalised. These roles don’t really interact much with the public at all, but in their decision making or their general management implement or promote worth ideas or actions. Other roles that are in more direct contact with the general public may or may not be professionalised, depending on the role and their pay will vary depending on the profile.

I worked for a charity for a number of years and I found the experience extremely enriching. I worked on a voluntary basis, and it was one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.
