Education Consultant

Education consultants are highly knowledgeable about educational programmes, theories and research and can work independently, for education businesses or for school districts.
Those who work for a school district are often responsible for evaluating current education programmes, planning a new curriculum and choosing textbooks. Candidates who wish to work in private practices can expect to be helping individual families who need help making decisions regarding their children’s education, for example choosing the right school or suggesting ways to help children with behavioural disorders or learning disabilities
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in education, yet most employers prefer applicants with a master’s degree in education or several years’ work experience in this field. An education consultant often undergoes specialised training as it benefits them when looking for a job. Job holders are responsible for undertaking research, generating documents, creating presentations and tracking data, and as such they must be competent with the use of computers.
This job pays anywhere between £18,000 and £25,000.
