Architecture job description

Post Job

Architecture concerns the design and construction of buildings and the space around them. Although it is the job of the architect to be involved from the conception of a project through to its eventual completion, a number of other construction professionals such as engineers and surveyors are needed throughout the process
It is important for those choosing this line of work to have the ability to pay careful attention to detail. Because the design and construction of a building is a collaborative process, they will need to be able to communicate well with others involved in the process. Being able to work to a deadline is also necessary as often one stage in the architectural process will need to be completed before the next can begin
Most jobs falling under the architectural umbrella require a certain amount of further education or vocational training. To become an architect requires a degree from a recognised school as well as additional on-the-job training
Newly qualified architects can expect a salary of around £25,000 per year, which rises as they gain more experience.
