Physiotherapists, who must hold a degree in physiotherapy, receive starting salaries of between £19,000 and £25,000. Assistants normally need to have at least four GCSEs and start on £13,600, rising to £21,800 with experience. Heads of department earn salaries in the region of £28,000 to £56,000.
Description
Physiotherapists help people who have illnesses, an injury, or a disability to be able to move, operate, function or overcome their limitations. They are required to understand all the details and information about the bones, nervous system, joints, tissues, and heart. They use massage, their hands, laser equipment, exercise equipment and others aids.
Some Therapists may choose a particular specialisation or health problems. they also work closely with and network with various doctors, paediatricians, social workers, surgeons, nurses or occupational therapists. They may work any day of the week, overtime and must maintain a flexible schedule for emergencies. They make a good living and sometimes are self employed or may choose to work in hospitals, schools, sports centres, health centres or residential homes.

Some professionals work as Assistants and then complete their training and become official Physiotherapists.
