Inventory

An inventory worker is responsible for the counting and recording of stock or materials at a particular establishment. This could be an office or warehouse, for example. The role involves the recording of incoming and outgoing items, ensuring that the inventory is at all times accurate and up to date. Additionally, the inventory worker is often responsible for dealing with orders and the proper handling and storage of materials
Other aspects of this job are report writing, investigating discrepancies and producing balance sheets, price lists and financial reports. The role requires the ability to use computer office applications in ensuring that inventory information is readily available to other departments or staff members
Applicants for this role should have strong analytical and excellent time management skills, and be able to work as part of a team. It is important to have good interpersonal and numeracy skills and have the ability to produce statistics and write reports. The average salary for this role is £16,000 per year.
