A data entry worker is responsible for entering various data formats into the computer system of a company. Such workers need to be proficient at interpreting complex information. Monitoring the company’s data entry systems is an important part of the role, as well as checking the computer systems thoroughly and enhancing them where necessary.

Applicants for this role will need to be familiar with relevant software packages and have a good typing speed. They will need to have strong analytical skills and excellent organisational skills. They will also need to be able to operate other forms of equipment such as printers and tape machines. They should also to be able to work to deadlines and use their own initiative.
The basic hourly salary for positions in this field is around £8.00 to £9.00, with additional bonuses and holiday pay. Experienced workers may be able to receive up to £16,000 per annum in a full-time role.
