Description:

No formal qualifications are necessary but evidence of a good basic education is essential. Previous work with the public, preferably in the NHS, would be beneficial. All necessary training will be given. Visual field technicians play a vital role in the ophthalmology department. They are responsible for meeting and greeting patients and putting them at their ease before assessing their visual fields using computerised instruments to produce graphic readings. They work closely with all staff groups in the Ophthalmology Department. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by employer.
