The sessions would complement the work of a Band 7 Clinical Psychologist in this well established and developing service which aims to achieve weight reduction and improvements in general lifestyle and well being for patients meeting referral criteria. The service is provided by a well structured MDT based in Redcar. A major component of the work would be to provide psychological input to the group sessions run for patients selected after assessment by the MDT.
