The Trust provides a full range of acute clinical services for a catchment area of up to 650,000 people. We also provide specialist services in the following areas: radiotherapy, neonatalogy, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, rheumatology, paediatric, medicine and surgery. The Emergency Assessment Unit is a busy and challenging 58 bedded integrated unit. We assess/admit approximately 2,700 medical, surgical and trauma emergency patients per month.
