Online Marketing Manager
The online marketing manager plays a key role in spreading awareness of a company’s products and strengthening their brand through the internet. The role is becoming increasingly more vital as research shifts towards online commerce and marketing.
The role of the online marketing manager is essentially to use online media to create new and innovative marketing strategies which strengthen the market position of a product. Responsibilities include updating web content to ensure that it appears to search engines. Having a user-friendly site, creating and distributing a regular e-newsletter, implementing social media and encouraging interaction online with customers, are also often involved.
Applicants for this role should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and competency with Microsoft Office programs. Many employers will seek a candidate with a Bachelors degree in business, marketing or a related field, in addition to previous experience in a similar role.
The salary for this role falls between £26,000 and £41,000.
