Nvq Assessor

People performing the role of evaluator for workers studying for their national vocational qualification contribute to society in general as they ensure that work standards are the same across the UK. An Nvq Assessor also gives employees training for the qualification a more diverse choice of career opportunities
Individuals taking a new position as an Nvq Assessor will have an in-depth knowledge of their particular trade or field with preferably a professional qualification in it as well as an assessing certification such as an A1 or D32.
Incumbents need to be prepared to travel to the workplaces of course trainees to conduct onsite observations as well as check through evidence portfolios. Successful applicants will need to keep meticulous records of meetings and evaluations and also liaise with trainees’ immediate supervisors
Situations are available in all trades from plumbing to horticulture in the UK. Incumbents will usually work a 37 to 40 hour week, but with possible evening work to cater to workers on shift. Salaries vary between £19,000 and £25,000 a year depending on location and experience.
