Call me Lilian Last updated by Martha: 27-Jun-2017
What’s the best way to go about getting a summer job? I’m a student and would like to work during the holidays. I have full availability, I’m versatile and an enthusiast by nature. Can you give me a call if you have a job for me?

If you want a summer job you should make a search and find those available, choose the ones that suit your requirements and then apply. You won’t be offered a job unless you apply for one.

?? Is this not a platform that looks for candidates?

well, the way it works is that there are offers published and it’s us, the applicants who have to register to the jobs we’re interested in. For example I just applied for a data entry summer placement.

Oh, gosh I had it all mixed up, I see now. Best of luck with your search then.

If you could choose a dream job whether it be in your current field or something else what would it be?

Mrs Patricia A Ware:
My ideal job is one that I can do at weekends and during the school holidays, either in a garden center or retail outlet.
