A special educational needs teaching assistant is required for a secondary school for pupils with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties (ESBD). Pupils with ESBD can be disruptive, aggressive and consequently difficult to support. You will be required to assist the pupils in class with the support of the class teacher. Class sizes are small with a maximum of 8 pupils per class. New staff to the school are fully supported and provided with a handbook, which outlines the schools policies and procedures including how the school day runs.
