  How do you go about starting a charity shop? I’d like to set one up but don’t know what I’d have to do. Does anybody know?

    You have to register as a charity in the charity commission and contact your local council for details about rates relief. The rest, is essentially like any other business.

    There’s another aspect to it, which is campaigning to encourage donations. Depending on the area and time of year this can be more or less difficult to achieve. Though my experience is that people are often very generous, especially when it’s for a good cause.
