Offshore call centre
I used to work in a call centre here in the UK. I lost my job a year ago and I have been unable to get a new one. It looks like a lot of the call centres have been moved abroad. I don't know about you but I don't think the service is the same!

My experience is the same as yours, and my opinion too. There's nothing like having similar cultural references when it comes to communicating to convince of smthg or to solve a problem. This is not saying anything against the people in call centres offshore, they are great professionals, I have no doubt, but it's like somebody living in a hot climate giving advice on gardening to someone living in a cold climate. It's not that they cannot give good advice, but the likelihood is that someone from a colder climate will have more first hand experience and information, that's all.25-Jan-2017
