Resourcing

Specialists, administrators and consultants are employed to take care of resourcing needs, and by using a variety of sourcing techniques, track down the right candidate for job. Resourcing describes the process of finding and supplying the staff needed by a company or organisation.
Typical duties in this field of work include advertising on job boards, searching through company databases, organising headhunting campaigns and making use of social networking sites such as LinkedIn and Twitter.
The work calls for individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills who are able to use their own initiative to achieve results. The working environment is often challenging, and an ability to prioritise and find effective solutions to problems is an essential quality for the job.
Written skills are also important, as it may be necessary to write advertisements for company websites and the press. Assistant and trainee positions offer the lowest rates, with salaries from £16,000, while consultants and specialists receive average earnings of £22,000, or £23,000 in the London area.
