Trainee Nvq Assessor

With the wide acceptance of national vocational qualifications by employers all over the UK, there are many opportunities to join the ranks of evaluators of the national occupational standards. Trainee Nvq assessors entering the profession can rest assured that they will be offering a valuable service to workplaces and society in general.
Candidates applying for trainee Nvq assessor posts are expected to be disciplined, have good communication skills, be able to do onsite training and task evaluations at learners’ places of employment and maintain records of all activities
Individuals wishing to take on the role will preferably hold an assessing qualification such as D32 or A1. Successful applicants will also have extensive experience in their field as well as a recognised qualification.
There are openings for evaluators in all the chief trades, which include plumbers and electricians, and service industries such as retail and call centres. Incumbents are usually based at Nvq centres or workplaces, but the job frequently involves travelling. Annual salaries begin at around £17,000 in the provinces and go up to £19,000 in central London.
