Arabic speaker
Born in Saudy Arabia, I've been living in London for the past 2 years. I'd like to work at the airport where I can be of great help with my knowledge of languages assisting travellers. I can speak Arabic, English and French. I'd like to test the waters by working in one of the airport shops, but I'm not sure I'll be able to work later on for one of the airlines that operate in the airport if I don't have an official title for the three languages, as the French I have I learned while living in Paris with my parents between age 15 and 18, but I have never really taken a course to get a certificate for it.

I doubt you'll have any problems. If you're good with languages and good dealing with people you should be all right. If you have a good presence, all the better, though this is not a must.11-May-2017

Is that so? super! And are you serious about appearances? It sounds a bit retrograde to me.11-May-2017

I know what you mean, I find it a bit much myself. Though not all shops or airlines put the same emphasis on looks. What I know for a fact is that you must have good presence in terms of looking neat and what in the old days was called 'sharp', LOL.11-May-2017

OK, I can manage that. I hope smart casual will do. This is what you see in many airports.11-May-2017

Definitely so, and in any case, often enough you’re given the clothes for the job, so the pressure on you is somehow reduced by that.23-May-2017
