Candidates for this area in Northern Ireland, England, and Wales are required to hold a recognised further education teaching qualification, such as Qualified Teacher in Further Education. Employers usually require level three qualifications, such as NVQ level 3, in specific subjects that candidates want to teach. Other requirements are completing teaching qualifications recognised by Lifelong Learning UK and having GCSE´s in Math, English, and ICT to apply for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills.
