The job of an architect is not only to design new structures, but to provide plans for altering existing buildings and restoring old properties. Architect jobs require applicants having a degree in architecture recognised by the Architects Registration Board and the Royal Institute of British Architects. These courses require five GCSE´s and two A levels/three H grades including English, Math, and a separate science subject. A BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in Construction is another suitable academic qualification for this area.
