Engineers who work on installing various machinery or equipment are called Installation Engineers. They are also able to manage smaller machinery and tools. Installation Engineers must be constantly aware of safety and health regulations. Their jobs must not affect the safety of their clients, nor themselves.
An Installation Engineer usually performs many of the following tasks:

•  Liaising with clients
•  Filling out job sheets
•  Installing equipment
•  Reporting to manager
•  Adhering to regulations
•  Maintaining equipment

There are a number of qualifications that are accepted to pursue a career as an Installation Engineer. These include:
•    ONC
•    HND/HNC
•    NVQ
•    CSCS
•    C&G
Traditional qualifications are also readily accepted such as a Bachelors or Masters degree. Installation Engineers may pursue courses in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing, Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
