Qa will ensure a particular project is completed based on the earlier agreed specifications, functionality and standards required, without defects and potential problems. A person in this positio monitors and attempts to improve the process of development from the start of the project, right through to completion
The process starts at the beginning of a project when the Qa would aim to help teams communicate and comprehend the concerns and problems; it also gives them time to put the testing environment and configuration in place. Testing will begin after the test plans have been drawn out, reviewed and approved based on the documentation
Qa testers must be detail orientated and have a strong comprehension of computer software. Ideally, they should also have experience in programming. Analysts need to follow a test plan, which can be repetitive. A person in this role normally works in small offices, but occasionally has to travel as a consultants to a particular client’s office. Salary vary widely depending on the industry and company but generally start at around £20,000.
