Not really. You may be asked to undertake a DBS check. Other than that you don't normally need anything else. What is normally a requirement is that you have experience in caring for and walking dogs. It goes without saying that you have to be an animal lover, at least a dog lover.

It’s a great job, especially if you’re looking for part time while you’re studying. I’ve been doing it for 6 months now, and I love it!
