Does anybody have experience working on a farm? I’d love to but everyone around me is trying to convince me to look for a different kind of job.

I have and I loved it. I did it during the summer break. The pace of life is not as relaxed as we’re sometimes made to believe, but it’s nothing like city life. Even stress is different there. I’m going to try again August and September this year.

I worked in a farm in Australia during my leap year and liked it a lot, and back home I did for a short time last year but didn’t like it. Now I’m giving it another try because I’m not finding work, I hope the experience will be better.
- Nothing remarkable.

- I’m considering it too, though I fear it might be a bit too demanding physically. I’m still willing to try though.

Farm
My dream has always been working on a farm, working the land and caring for cattle. As I've grown older, my dream has remained, but the conditions for this type of job have been getting worse and worse over the past years and unless you go big, there's really nothing doin', because you cannot survive, especially if you'd like to have a family... and to go big, you need big money...why is it that something as essential as this has so little value in the eyes of everyone?
Leo
- I think it's basically because it's taken for granted. Making a living out of farming has always been a difficult thing, but lately it seems like only manufactured goods have any value. things are changing though with the trend towards organic production. good luck!
