  • Graduate I've just finished my degree in marketing and don't seem to able able to find work. Any advice?

      It can sometimes take time at the beginning. Some companies have graduate training schemes, they're really good to start with, if nothing else, to get experience and to deep your toe in the waters and get the hang of it.
      • Julie:
        I started as a trainee and worked happily in the same company for 1.5 years. Unfortunately, the company closed down with the crisis and I'm looking again, but I have no regrets and recommend trainee schemes. It worked very well for me.

          I disagree. I also did one of those and was badly paid, over worked and wasn't offered to stay...

            it must depend on the company and the person, because I also started as a trainee and was quite satisfied with my conditions. In my case I started knowing that there was a limited time for my position, so it didn’t come as a surprise when the relation ended.
