  • Home based Cs no experience I’m trying to get a job as cs rep and I’m finding that I’m not succeeding. I got a couple of replies, but they’re not for working from home, which is what I’m looking for. Can anybody advise as to whether there’s anything in particular I need to bear in mind?

I’m guessing that some businesses may prefer their reps to be in the same place so as to be able to make consultations to each other? It’s the only thing I can think of. It might also be that there are less cs jobs that contemplate the possibility of working from home… Just a thought.
      • Tobey:
Maybe, though of all the jobs I applied to I’d say half of them offered the option to work from home. Could experience have anything to do with it? I’ve no experience in this field, really.
        • Julia:
This might be it. Some businesses like people to get some in-house training and that’s pretty difficult if you’re working from home. Then again there’s the possibility to work from the offices while you’re training and then continue from home. Though it’s difficult to know why you’re not getting any feedback from the home based jobs. Good luck.

  • Which are the requirements to qualify as a home based CS representative? I would like to find a job as CS rep working from home. I’m a stay at home dad, but now my kids have both started going to day care. I think I have the qualities for it, I’m god with people both face to face and via telephone. My doubt is whether there are specific conditions or qualifications that I need to be eligible for the job.

There’s normally no course required. There are core skills that you’re going to be expected to have. Administrative and organizational skills, good listening and speaking skills, problem-solving abilities, record keeping knowledge, among others. You’ll be expected to have a closed room where you can focus during working hours, and of course, it goes without saying that you are expected to have a computer with internet connection landline phone service.
