I've been a vintage car mechanic for 20 years and I'd like a change in my career working more often with modern cars. I feel comfortable with modern engines, and although I'm not as familiar with computer electronics I'm confident I can learn really fast. I'm looking for some course in this area, more than for the training itself, so as to proof that I can do the job. Suggestions more than appreciated!

Apprenticeships in this area include theoretical and practical experience and sometimes offer BTEC or City & Guilds certificates in a related subject.

Applicants can obtain their own certificates, such as City & Guilds Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or a BTEC National Certificate in Vehicle Repair and Technology by studying in other education institutions.
