Service Technicians are responsible for going to client locations and fixing any machine or equipment that might have become problematic, for the customer. Some technicians operate from within the company and access equipment remotely. This is continuously applicable in the computer industry.

To become a Service Technician, interested persons are only required to have minimum qualifications. These should include either:
• GCSE
• HNC/HND
• High School Diploma
Some Technicians have Bachelors degree qualifications in areas such as Engineering, Computer Science, Maintenance and Mechanical engineering. Their qualifications often align with the product or service they are servicing.
