Graphic Designers are required to produce and bring to life client’s requirements and messages through high visual impact images and design projects. They can work for various sectors including computer games, advertising, books and magazines, websites, packaging, exhibitions, corporate identity, etc. These professionals need to use software packages related to multimedia and industry standard graphics.

Graphic Designer jobs do not require specific academic qualifications, but most people working on this area have a diploma or degree related to this subject. Among useful degrees for this area are fine art, graphic design, illustration, 3D design, photography, visual art, among others.

Some students have a foundation diploma in art and design for one year and then apply for a diploma or degree course. Entry requirements for these courses are generally A levels/H grades and five GCSE´s/S grades (A-C/1-3) or equivalent qualifications.
