A part time call centre worker’s main responsibilities involve taking inbound phone calls from the organisation’s customers and answering queries and solving problems. Their role may also involve responding to complaints from customers and processing product orders. In some organisations, the job holder may be required to provide support to sales staff by contacting potential leads or forwarding sales queries to the sales teams.
Most positions require a minimum of a secondary school education; it is unlikely that an employer would expect a bachelor’s degree although for management positions, this may be a requirement. An upbeat personality is an asset for this role, for which proper telephone etiquette is expected at all times.
