Veterinary receptionist
I recently lost my dog. ‘Chap’ was a sweetie, the most welcoming dog I’ve had, and I’ve had a few. Losing them is very hard for me, so I’ve decided that instead of getting a new dog, I might apply my experience in hotel receptions to a job as a veterinary receptionist. Does anybody know whether you need to have any medical knowledge for this job?
Ruth
- Not at all, it’s exactly the same as any other receptionist. It’s just that with time you’ll get to know certain things by the sheer fact that you come across them every day. Plus if you’ve been a dog owner for years, I’d say you already have knowledge of some basic aspects and that may give you a head start in relation to other applicants, you’d come with a plus I may say.
