Internal Communications officers or managers are required to do these tasks by using several channels and methods including brief notes, newsletters, and other sources. They can work for any type of business such as commercial companies, local authorities, government departments, charities, among others.

Some degrees required for this area are Journalism, Communication, Marketing, or any other related subject. There also are postgraduate qualifications including the same subjects mentioned before plus Psychology, English, Advertising, among others.

Some employers require degrees related to public relations, business administration, media studies, and other related qualifications. One recommendation is to have a qualification from The Chartered Institute of Public Relations or The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
