Working in a large corporation’s treasury department is a fulfilling role and vital to the corporation’s business prosperity and cash and capital movements. Treasury officers and controllers are wholly responsible for their company’s funds management and the availability of working capital.
Senior people taking on a new role come under the nominal umbrella of the finance department, but are expected to be motivated in dealing with moving funds around to improve business net value and to be able to conduct share, FX, money market and bonds transactions.

Successful candidates are expected to be part or fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountants with extensive business planning knowledge. Individuals are also required to be well versed in balance sheet exposures relating to liquidity, funding and asset and cash management. Familiarity with Microsoft spreadsheets and report writing are essential.
Salaries for capable professionals in this field go from around £35,000 to £70,000 a year, with vacancies at large businesses in London, Manchester and other cities throughout the UK.
