A talent for multitasking is highly desirable, as are excellent communication skills. Most employers seek someone who has basic maths and typing skills, is highly organised and can follow instructions and complete assignments.
There is no specific educational qualification required to become a finance assistant, though a high school education is a good start. Experience as a receptionist, secretary or administrative assistant is valuable. Salaries range from £17,000 to £23,000 per year.
