JobisJob Tutorial

Many of those considering a career as a disc jockey tend to associate it with working for a radio station, or one of the UK’s top nightclubs. Working in those positions is a fine target to aim for, yet most people working as a dj tend to work for themselves with a mobile disco, starting out at birthday parties, weddings and other functions
Most disc jockeys are self-employed and accumulate their own equipment over the years. They are usually competent in using turntables, amps, speakers and lights. Those who progress and find positions as resident djs in nightclubs might find that more modern equipment is provided.
Nowadays, a number of educational institutes are offering courses in the field. These courses can offer a great advantage to those looking for professional advancement.
City-centre nightclubs sometimes offer around £125 for a night’s work, while those working with a mobile disco might earn as little as £7 to £10 an hour. Individuals working as children’s djs tend to earn a bit more, with hourly rates of £40 to £80 available in the southeast.
