requirements Anthony Last updated by Adam: 18-Oct-2017
I’m interested in an apprenticeship as a way to become a laminator. What requirements do I need to fulfil?

Chris:
Apprenticeships are a great solution to get into a sector, that’s how I started. Really there are no formal requirements, but you should have at least a GCSE's in English, maths and science. A diploma in engineering or related to product design, for example, would probably help.

You can start as a technician apprentice and move on from there.

I’ve heard that the pay is not good, which doesn’t worry me too much now, because I’m thinking long term. But would 70 gbp a week be correct?

I’d say you should expect something more like 95 gbp per week, though you should investigate further, I’m not 100% sure.
