Medical Admin

A vital job in the running of many healthcare facilities throughout the country is the role of medical administration officers. This role provides essential clerical support and ensures day-to-day operations involved in various hospital departments run as smoothly as possible.
Some of the daily tasks of a medical administrator include writing and responding to letters, faxes and emails that may arrive from patients, while providing a supportive environment for the medical staff to carry out their duties. Other daily tasks include handling patient records, taking phone enquiries, making appointments and greeting patients upon arrival.
A good understanding of basic medical practices is looked upon favourably by employers, while attention to detail in this line of work is a must. Candidates for this role of should need excellent communication and it skills as well as a high level of sensitivity and professionalism. A wide variety of temporary and permanent positions are available around the UK, and the average salary for this position is £25,000 a year.
