Supervisor

An office supervisor is an essential role within any organisation. This position ensures that all vital functions are undertaken that contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of any institution. Those employed in this role perform tasks to maintain a level of efficiency throughout an office environment, while undertaking some administrative and payroll tasks
Some of the duties of a Supervisor are to oversee and manage staff recruitment and maintenance of the office, while also performing regular evaluations and checking the level of knowledge and skills of various employees. This may lead to various projects, including the planning and organisation of training and skill enhancement for the office staff.
While formal training is not always necessary with supervisor positions, a demonstrated ability within their field is one of the characteristics needed in this position. Qualifications in business, management or relating to the field of work will make applicants more attractive. A supervisor’s salary is roughly £2,5000, but this depends on the size of the company and the level of responsibilities given to the employee.

  • What doors will a Night Auditor / Night Manager for me? Warrenhayes

I have currently been in my current job for two years and i have been told by higher management that i will no longer be able to progress as they refuse to train me anymore due to they "cannot be bothered" or they are focusing on their own progression.

So i am looking for a new job but i do not know what field of work i should be aiming to get my self into, does night auditing have any transferable skills?

Preferably i would like to move out of hospitality and move into sales or events but a lot of the jobs i have applied for are asking for experience or degrees which i do not have.

Can anyone give me some advice?

    Respectfully

    Warren Hayes

  • Store supervisor Aron

Does anybody know if to opt to a post as store supervisor you need specific training?

    • Mal:

Not as far as I know. Traditionally you'd get your training at the job.Though I've recently seen several workshops and other courses, so I'd say that if you take some sort of course you're on for a head start.
      Cheers
