Work instructing commercial drivers generally requires considerable driving experience as well as a high-degree of teaching ability. Most roles will expect LGV, DGV or HGV experience and qualification, as well as teaching certification such as PGCE, PTTLLS, CTLLS or DTLLS. Pay rates can vary from £15,000 to £35,000, with benefits like company car often being available. A median salary of £22,000 generally applies.
