Beauty

For those who work in beauty, the most important skill to have is the ability to communicate well with customers. Although technical skills look good on paper, they won’t make an individual a great beautician. It is also important to be able to talk easily about products and beauty techniques in a way that customers will be able to understand
Other skills that are useful for the beauty industry are being able to operate a cash register, organisational skills, keeping consistent client records, good self awareness, being polite and having patience. Those in the industry also need to be well-presented themselves. Many people who work in beauty say they enjoy working with people most of all. Most beauticians need an NVQ level 2 in beauty or equivalent qualification
The average pay for someone in the beauty industry is around £18,000 though remuneration can start from as low as £15,000 and continue right up to £25,000 for experienced professionals.
