Fraserburgh Ann Last updated by Cindy: 22-Mar-2017
I’m interested in moving to Peterhead to be nearer my aging parents. I’ve been looking around and have seen that Fraserburgh may be a good place to work as there seems to be plenty of opportunities for teachers. Do you think that the commuting distance is reasonable? I wouldn’t like to have to travel for more than 45 minutes each way.

You can count on 28-29 mins each way. It’s reasonable as commuting time and the journey is smooth without much stop and go traffic.

And what’s the area like for young adolescents? I have a 17 and a 15 year old who they’re reticent to move and I’d like to make sure that they’re heading into a welcoming environment.

There’s a bit of everything, but I have to say that big efforts have been made in Peterhead to offer leisure activities to the youth. From sports and leisure clubs to the youth café opened last summer.
