Do I need to take any official training course if I’d like to work as a kennel assistant ?

Not at all necessary, if you have any it twill of course help, but it’s in no way essential. Experience, whether paid or unpaid, with animals is a plus.

Yes experience helps quite a bit. When I applied for my last position, I had experience in an animal welfare organisation and it certainly gave me a head start.

Sounds great thanks. I don’t expect the wages will be great, right?

I must say that the wages are OK if you’re on your own or if with a family you husband’s wages are good. Otherwise it falls a bit short …
