Part Time Receptionist

A receptionist is involved in the front-end running of a company and is effectively the face of the business. The primary role of a receptionist is to answer phones and greet customers as they enter the business, while also helping out with basic clerical tasks. It is therefore essential to be well organised and neatly presented
Part time receptionists generally work around only 20 to 30 hours per week. The role is quite common with growing small businesses that may require some clerical assistance but do not need the position filled full time. The role is therefore ideal for those who have other commitments and cannot commit to full time hours.
Qualifications differ from company to company, while many hirers only look for some background experience working in an office environment. Part time receptionists generally require minimal qualifications, although a good phone manner, excellent customer service skills and a basic grasp of English and maths are essential. Receptionists usually earn around 16,000 to £18,000 a year, although this will obviously be less on a part time basis.
