  I’m from Cadiz in Spain and I’d like to work in the UK. I’ve got very good waitressing skills. I don’t know what I need to do to get a job. Some tell me that I need to get a job before travelling over, others tell me that I can come over on holidays and look for work once I’m here. I’m very serious about coming over and about my plans and I don’t want to spoil my possibilities. Can someone help me with some advice, please?

    Hi Juan, to get a T2 sponsorship you need to be offered a job by a sponsor. There’s a list in www.gov.uk/. I hope this helps. I’m with you in that I wouldn’t take any chances, too much at stake and too much to lose if things went wrong. In the end of the day, if you came over without a sponsorship there’s no guarantee that you’d get one from a licensed sponsor.

      It’s important that you get the job offer first from a licensed sponsor. You can apply for your visa 3 months before your starting date.
