  yes you have to CPC is now compulsory and have to take a module every year its an on going thing.i have been driving for 35 years and i have had to do it, good old Europe eh what a wast of time, it's just yet another money making racket and you don't learn anything you don't already know and they will change you about 500bangers for the privilege.   I got my lorry driver's license in 2005, and have been driving since. Just recently someone told me I am supposed to take the Driver CPC initial qualification but as far as I know I don't have to because of my existing driving experience. Could somebody advise?

    You're right, since you had your license issued before 2009 -I think it's 2009, though it might be 2007, pls doublecheck on this-you don't need to take the cpc one
