  Hi I’m interested in finding work as a car driver, maybe a chauffer. But I’m not clear about wages and requirements for the job. Does anybody have experience in this?

    Hi Theo, there are many things to take into account. You can be self-employed –own cars, and responsibility over maintenance, etc- or work for one of the many operators running in the UK. In any case, you’ll need a full UK driving license and can often be asked for several years’ experience or even some extra driving training. Many times you may be expected to have languages (in the case of executive corporate clients this may be essential); you’ll also be expected to have good customer care abilities; good time keeping is also essential.

        That’ll depend on many aspects, basically location, contract, bonuses…It depends, as a starter you may be able to get something in the order of 14k or maybe a bit more as a senior, 20k? not sure.
