Hr Consultant

HR consultants need to be well-organised professionals with first-class interpersonal, negotiation and sales skills. Those working in this area assist in the recruitment process undertaken by firms and organisations. They typically work for agencies and use their knowledge of human resources to find the right candidate for the job. They may deal with all sectors of industry or choose to specialise in a particular one
To work effectively, consultants need to keep tab of existing vacancies, which often requires regular contact with companies, keeping a record of any available positions. They also assess potential candidates’ suitability for upcoming placements and carry out initial screenings to help draw up a shortlist.
A confident and positive attitude is important for the job, as is an ability to work well under pressure. Since networking plays such a major part in the work, consultants should also enjoy making regular contact with a wide variety of people. Salaries for consultancy positions are around £30,000, or £35,000 in the London area.
