Forum NHS 111 Nurse Advisor

  • What are the requirements to become a nurse advisor? Merion

I recently took a certification program with the idea of becoming a nurse advisor. To my surprise I was told a few months after finishing my cert, when talking to someone who had some knowledge in the field that my course didn’t qualify me as a nurse advisor, which is what I wanted to do, that what I’d taken was a program on paralegal studies. Could somebody help me with this?!

    • Jeannette:

You’re often expected to be a UK registered nurse with postgraduate clinical experience of at least 2 years. For some specific areas you’re required to have postgraduate qualifications. What you’re asking is not somtg simple that can be put down in a few words. I advise you to get in touch with the nhs itself and ask them for guidance.
