  Qualified EU doctor with 14 years’ work experience as a clinician in hospitals and health centres EU and overseas, 9 years as a specialist in Public Health managing complex development programmes funded by Italian government in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan.
  Head of Program, “Support Program to the National Healthcare System in the Provinces of Kabul and Herat” at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Directorate General for Development Cooperation, Kabul, Afghanistan.
  Working closely with the Ministry of public Health in Afghanistan to provide technical assistance for management, planning and activity support to several provinces in Afghanistan. In addition, a project has been implemented to enable local doctors to attend technical and specialist formation courses in Afghanistan and in Italy: this will contribute to create more specialised personnel for future employment in Afghanistan with an outlook on modern medical techniques used in Italy. Since 2007 maintained regular contacts with the health sector donors attending and contributing to donor coordination meetings on behalf of the Italian Cooperation Italian Embassy in Kabul, Significant contact has also been maintained with international and Afghan NGOs working in the health sector in Afghanistan
